Meditation

Published in Featured

Both inspiration and nourishment draw many people to explore and understand the healing power of mindfulness and meditation. There are many paths to this practice, each with its own orientation and teaching style, to appeal to people with different temperaments, motivations and interests. Meditation creates healing transformation at different levels for each individual.

Meditation is a discipline through which those seeking tranquility and harmony may discover a heightened awareness, acceptance and ability to let go. The goal of meditation is to face yourself, to look within. Meditation is not about achieving anything, including enlightenment. One meditates to discipline the mind, to cultivate awareness, and to see things as they are.

Through meditation, we open the mind is to see “What is true, now?” Our most creative thinking, resonating at a higher vibration, flows from an open mind. Being open requires that you not rely solely on reaching a goal or adhering to a plan. An open mind provides a flowing space-in-time for the delicious possibility of mindfulness, relaxation, and all manner of unexpected opportunities.

Meditation is one of the proven alternative therapies. It can be broadly classified under the mind-body medicine.

More and more doctors are prescribing meditation as a way to lower blood pressure, improve exercise performance in people with angina, help people with asthma breathe easier, relieve insomnia and generally relax the everyday stresses of life. Meditation is a safe and simple way to balance a person’s physical, emotional, and mental states. It is simple; but can benefit everybody.
